SBUWSC was founded March 2011 by Kathryn Michaud and Nicole Himmelwright. Jessica Quickle, while she was not there for right when the club was founded, we'd still consider her an honorary founder because of her contributions and involvement within the first few weeks of the club's existence.

Jessica Quickle

Jessica Quickle is studying Atmospheric Sciences with a minor in Environmental Studies at Stony Brook University and has been with the club since she found out about it her freshman year, which was just two weeks after it was founded. She has been a dedicated and valued player to the club since the club’s first semester. Not only was she a great player, but she was also a great friend, provided valued advice, and was always involved. Unfortunately an ankle injury prevented her from playing much in her junior year, but she continued her efforts to make the club the best that it could be. Thankfully when the club made it to Regionals that year, she was finally able to play with the team again.
